United Way of Southern Cameron County Accepting Donations for Palacio Real (Wild Rose) Apartments Fire Victims
On December 7, a fire swept through Palacio Real (Wild Rose) Apartments, destroying 27 apartments and affecting 47 units’ total. Residents who lost everything in an instant now face the overwhelming task of rebuilding their lives
from the ground up.
Residents have lost clothing, furniture, personal possessions, important documents, irreplaceable memories, and their sense of security and home. Many are now staying with friends, family, or temporary shelters as they navigate this difficult time.
United Way of Southern Cameron County, City of Brownsville, Good Neighbor Settlement House, Ozanam Center, and Red Cross will raise money to support our neighbors in their time of greatest need and help them recover from this tragedy. We are committed to transparency and will ensure 100% of the funds raised go to individuals and families in the destroyed apartments.
Your contribution will help provide hope and practical support to families and individuals during their darkest hour. Together, we can help them rebuild not just their homes, but their lives. Thank you for your generosity and compassion.
