Meri Heggie, 54, originally from Brownsville, TX, cherishes her roles as wife to Mike for 27 years and mother to three sons: Francis Xavier, a seasoned Chef; Dillon, a former Fred Astaire Professional Ballroom Dancer; and Seth, a recent graduate at 21 with a degree in Manufacturing Engineering. Transitioning from a successful career as a Top Sales Rep and Territory Manager for various companies, Meri dedicated herself to full-time motherhood and community activism, serving on the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board, organizing Pedal To Padre, and volunteering as a photographer for the Camille Playhouse.
Since 2010, Meri has pursued her passion for photography, self-teaching and attending workshops by renowned photographers like Jerry Ghionis and Sandy Puc. Committed to fitness as a lifestyle, she's faced health challenges head-on, including rare Neuromuscular Autoimmune Diseases, yet remains a Certified Personal Trainer for over 9 years, competing in the NPC with a notable 3rd place in the Masters Over 50 Bikini Division.
