The Cameron County Veterans Coalition was formed in Spring 2011 and has brought together social service providers to serve veterans and their families by convening, collaborating, mobilizing and advocating for the health, education, welfare and livelihood of those who have served in the military.
The Coalition meets monthly and consist of individuals and veterans who represent the Department of Veteran Affairs, Texas Workforce Solutions Cameron, University of Texas Brownsville, Tropical Texas Behavioral Health, Brownsville Chamber of Commerce, Cameron County Veteran Services, City of Brownsville and Brownsville Housing Authority.
