United Way of Southern Cameron County earned a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, the largest and most prestigious independent evaluator of nonprofits in the United States.
The 4-star rating, the highest that Charity Navigator awards, recognizes sound fiscal management and commitment to accountability and transparency. Charity Navigator evaluates thousands of nonprofits each year, and only one of four earns 4 stars.
"Earning Charity Navigator's top distinction is recognition of the hard work United Way of Southern Cameron County has done to be accountable, transparent and effective," said Traci Wickett, President and CEO of the organization. "Our score of 97.58 out 100 is one of the highest scores of any nonprofit in the country. This ranking lets donors know that we use their gifts wisely and for great impact."
