In 2001, United Way of Southern Cameron County adopted the national Success by 6 Initiative. Success by 6 is an organization of community members and educators who have joined together to serve as a catalyst to promote research-based early literacy development for children birth to six years of age in Southern Cameron County with the overall goal of helping children succeed when they enter school.
