Loaned Executive Program
The Loaned Executive Program is a unique professional and personal development opportunity. Loaned executives (LEs) are employees of local organizations who are “loaned” 2-3 hours per week to serve as account managers for United Way during Campaign (August—October).
LEs create community visibility in workplace visits for their companies while receiving training and experience to develop skills and/or techniques for sales and new business development; customer relationship management; organizational skills; interpersonal communication; project management; group facilitation and public speaking; team building; responding to objections; networking with local businesses; and time management.
Training for LEs includes visiting local partner programs and attending an entertaining, high-energy, two-day retreat where public speaking and account management are main focus areas.
Employee Campaign Coordinators
Employee Campaign Coordinators (ECCs) are volunteers from businesses within the community who represent a broad range of businesses and who generously volunteer their time to coordinate the annual workplace campaign efforts for United Way of Southern Cameron County at their place of employment. ECCs are essential to all phases of the campaign because they provide credibility, advocacy, relationship-building, and outside energy the United Way staff cannot generate alone.
Training for ECCs includes visiting local partner programs and participating in a workshop at which United Way provides the necessary information and tools for a successful workplace campaign.
If you are interested in nominating an employee, or yourself, to become a Loaned Executive or Employee Campaign Coordinator, please contact Mariana Whitley Tumlinson.
The most important benefit of volunteering to become a Loaned Executive or an Employee Campaign Coordinator is the opportunity to get a closer look at the needs within the community and gain perspective of what resources are available to create positive change for the common good.
Our success with the Workplace Campaign would not be possible without the support of both Loaned Executives and Employee Campaign Coordinators. A special thanks to our volunteers and the supervisors who allow them the time to volunteer. By allowing time to volunteer you help influence the condition of all.
